HER
VISION
International Film Festival
'24/25
We could make this a long section, but there's no need to. We are here to showcase female storytellers and directors. We also welcome stories with female protagonists and stories that focus on women's issues.
Naturally, mixed writing, producing, and directing teams qualify. The Her Vision International Film Festival stands for unity in the production office, on set, and in the writers' room.
Together, we can make equality the norm!
About the Founder
Caterina Campagna
A native New Yorker who studied psychology and drama at Dominican University, Caterina graduated with a 3.9 GPA and immediately began working as a recreational therapist in an acute adult psychiatric unit. There she utilized healing methods through art games that ranged from conflict resolution acting to guided meditation to music therapy. Soon after, her love of music and writing skills landed her a freelancer job for the Aquarian Weekly, a magazine that was inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, and afterward, Caterina went on to work as assistant managing editor of the nationally distributed Metal Edge magazine. In that publishing house's New York City office, she demonstrated organizational and communication skills with freelancers, the art department, publicists, musicians, and the production team to ensure that the monthly publication always came out on time. She had the privilege of interviewing luminaries such as Metallica, Alice Cooper, Deftones, Soundgarden, and Dave Grohl. In 2007, she earned her SAG card and has appeared in independent and theatrical releases, music videos, cable TV, MTV commercials, and VJ and DJ spots. She then landed the lead role in an off-Broadway production of The Wisdom of Eve as Eve Harrington. The press called her performance "stellar." She has also written seven feature films in various genres and four short films. While Caterina finds art to be one of the most fulfilling pursuits one can engage in, she has also found joy and meaning in being the primary caretaker for her father Gaetano Campagna, who has suffered from Alzheimer's.
